■ One card at a time Months of screenshots pile up in your albums. Scrap hands them to you one by one, so each one takes a second instead of a trip in and out of the Photos app.

■ Short rounds, not a whole afternoon Choose how many photos you go through per round. Ones you already sorted stay out of the way, and the home screen shows how many are left.

■ Pick a month Just May 2025, or last summer. Choose a period on the home screen and only photos from then come up.

■ Duplicates, grouped Burst shots, photos that look alike, photos saved twice — Scrap groups them for you. Keep the one you want and clear out the rest together.
