Play real chess in a soft pastel world on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Pawnpetal pairs recognizable chess pieces with clear controls, thoughtful practice and a growing collection of original characters.

A GAME FOR EVERY MOMENT • Play an offline bot at three difficulty levels. • Share a device for pass-and-play. • Find a regular Game Center match or invite a friend, then take your turns when it suits you. • Choose a timed online match: 10 minutes per player, with no increment. • Host or join a nearby two-player game on a compatible local connection.

YOUR BOARD, YOUR CHARACTERS Pastel Garden and Classic Clarity are included. Discover 35 optional character sets, from chrome and crystal to woodland friends, origami, dragons and celestial pieces. Legendary Aurora adds opalescent royals, luminous captures and celestial chimes. In multiplayer, each side shows its own selected set, with matching sounds and capture effects. Purchase sets individually, or choose All Access for every set, board theme and all 100 player logos. Purchases change the presentation; every chess mode stays free.

SMALL MILESTONES, PERSONAL REWARDS Finish your first game to earn First Bloom and a player logo. Discover 109 hidden achievements as you play, from your first move to distinctive captures and victories. View your personal statistics, equip earned logos, and optionally keep progress in your private iCloud account. Game Center leaderboards track monthly and overall online wins. Personal achievements stay separate from Game Center achievements.

PRACTICE, REPLAY, UNDERSTAND Watch recordings of your saved games with one-second autoplay, pause whenever you like, and step through each move. Undo during local practice and export PGN notation. On supported devices, optional on-device coaching explains verified chess facts. Coaching is disabled in multiplayer, and the chess engine always decides move legality.

PLAY COMFORTABLY Drag pieces with landing previews, tap squares or choose a labeled legal move. Flip the board, choose a light or dark appearance, and adjust coordinates, movement, capture effects and check indicators. Choose a capture style and effect intensity, or mute sounds whenever you want. When space is tight, the legal-move list offers larger controls.

Local bot and pass-and-play games work offline without a developer account. Game Center needs an Apple Account and internet access. Nearby play needs compatible devices and local-network permission. Private iCloud progress and Apple Intelligence features depend on supported devices, system availability and your settings. Language-model explanations can be mistaken. Optional purchases use the App Store and can be restored with your Apple Account. No advertising or analytics SDK is included.
