Floortake is a flooring estimator for installers and flooring stores. Measure the rooms, draw the plan, count the material and hand the customer a signed PDF quote before you leave the house. It works without signal.

MEASURE THE ROOM YOUR WAY • Type the length and width for a quick square room. • Draw the walls on screen, with doors, windows, bays and alcoves. • Trace a photo of a paper plan to scale. • Scan the room with LiDAR on iPhone Pro models. Walls, doors and windows come back as a plan. • Connect a Leica DISTO laser meter over Bluetooth and tap each reading into the field. Other meters can send a file. • Import a DXF floor plan from AutoCAD, FreeCAD or a laser meter app. Each closed shape becomes a room.

COUNT MATERIAL FROM THE LAY PATTERN • Tile and stone, laminate and hardwood, vinyl plank and vinyl tile: boxes, full pieces, cuts and waste, counted from the pattern you choose. Straight, diagonal, herringbone, chevron, running bond or stack bond. • Carpet and sheet vinyl: roll width, drops, seams, pattern repeat and the roll length to order. • Poured floors and other products sold by area, with your own waste allowance. • Underlay, membrane, adhesive, grout, trim and prep products from your own catalogue, priced per box, per roll, per pack or per square foot.

QUOTE ON THE SPOT • A PDF quote with the floor plan drawn in the chosen flooring, your prices, your photos and your terms. • The customer signs on your phone. The signature goes on the PDF. • When the job is won, turn the quote into an invoice and record deposits and payments. • Export the plan as DXF for the office, or the measurements as a spreadsheet.
