Echo Storybooks: Read Aloud

Make storytime easier: listen together or join in, one line at a time. Download for free, listen to stories, and give reading aloud a try.

Listen together. Take a turn reading aloud. Echo Storybooks makes family storytime easier with narrated picture books and gentle encouragement to join in. Download for free, listen to stories, and give reading aloud a try.

READ ALOUD, ONE LINE AT A TIME Listen to a line, then try reading it aloud. Earn stars and get gentle encouragement along the way. If a line feels tricky, try it just once more, then move on with the story. You don't have to get every word right.

LET THE APP DO THE READING Ready for a break from reading aloud? Choose Listen mode and enjoy the story together. Follow the illustrations and highlighted text as the narration plays and pages turn automatically. No microphone access is needed to listen.

ONE QUESTION TO GET YOU TALKING Each book ends with one simple picture-based question about the story. Think back on what happened, choose an answer, and talk about it together.

FIND A COMFORTABLE READING LEVEL Explore original stories about animals, everyday life, feelings, nature, and little adventures. English and Japanese have separate reading levels. Recommendations can adjust based on recent read-aloud activity. Parents can also set a level manually or turn off automatic adjustment.
