A clearer scan

Automatic edge detection and perspective correction help straighten your pages. Reduce shadows and uneven lighting, choose color or black and white, or keep the original photo.

Prepare your documents

Crop, rotate and adjust your pages. Add text with your choice of font, size and color, place a handwritten signature, or generate a QR code from a web address.

The eraser lets you capture a clean area of the document and paint with that background. This helps cover unwanted marks while keeping the result close to the surrounding paper, instead of leaving an obvious white rectangle.

For sensitive information, use solid black redaction rather than the eraser or blur. Review applied edits individually, or reset a page to its original.

Give sensitive copies a clear purpose

Sending a copy of your ID or another personal document? The extended watermark lets you specify who the copy is for, why it is being provided, or both.

Repeated text and multicolor waves spread that information across the pages, making the intended use visible and helping discourage unauthorized reuse. For example: “For my rental application - Example Agency.”

For simpler labels such as “Confidential” or “Draft,” choose the classic watermark and set its color.

Keep sensitive documents in the Safe

Store copies of your ID card, passport, driving license and other sensitive documents in the encrypted Document Safe. Access is protected by a dedicated PIN, with optional Face ID or Touch ID.

Scan directly into the Safe or import from Photos or Files. When you need a document again, unlock the Safe and add a copy to your current project.

Safe items stay on this device and are not synced or backed up. Copies added to a project or exported are outside the Safe’s protection.

Save, share or print

Export as PDF, JPEG or PNG. Save to Files, share through Messages, Mail or AirDrop, or print with AirPrint. Add an identifier to dated filenames and protect PDF exports with a password.

Premium

Keep your projects, not just the exported files.

Project History automatically saves your scan projects so you can return to them later. Reopen a document, review your previous edits, add more pages or make changes, then export a fresh copy whenever you need it. No need to scan everything again.

History is stored locally on your device and enabled by default with Premium. You can rename projects, browse them by date and delete those you no longer need.

Premium also unlocks multi-page export, extended watermarks without added ScanMyFile branding, and Safe storage without a document-count cap. Storage and processing limits still apply.
