A working magnetometer for ghost hunting. The number on screen is your iPhone's actual magnetic field reading, in µT or mG. Record a session, mark the spikes, and review the whole timeline afterwards.

WHAT IT MEASURES: EMF Detector reads the magnetometer built into your iPhone and shows live magnetic field strength in microtesla (µT) or milligauss (mG). Every reading is a sensor value, not a random number. Before you start, the app calibrates a baseline for the room and tells you how steady that baseline is, so you know how much to trust what follows. Readings are then classed on a five-level scale: Calm, Weak, Potential, High, Extreme.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT: Calibrated baseline with a steadiness verdict, shown on screen. Live 30-second graph with separate X, Y and Z axes. Sensitivity presets for quiet rooms and noisy ones. Session recording with spike marks and a reviewable timeline. Session history, plus a two-session compare view. CSV export of recorded readings. If the field does not change, the meter stays flat.

HOW RECORDING WORKS: Tap Record and walk the space. The app logs every reading and marks each spike as it happens. Tap Stop and you get the full timeline of the session, with spikes flagged, the baseline shown for reference, and peak values listed. Sessions are saved to History. Pick any two and the compare view lays them side by side. Export to CSV to look at the raw numbers elsewhere.

FOR FILMING: Record Mode strips the interface down to the reading and the graph on a dark full-screen layout, so the meter stays legible on camera.

PRO: The app is fully usable without paying. Pro is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription, and unlocks: unlimited session history, CSV export, and removal of the rewarded-ad prompt.

ENTERTAINMENT NOTICE: The magnetometer reading is real. What it means is up to you. Magnetic fields change near wiring, appliances, magnets, metal and other phones, and this app cannot tell those apart from anything else. It is made for paranormal-style entertainment and does not claim that a change in the field means a ghost is present.

ADS: This app contains ads. Without Pro, you may be offered a rewarded ad to unlock a single CSV export, and occasional full-screen ads appear between screens. Pro removes both.

PRIVACY: No account. The app never asks for location, camera or microphone access; it uses the motion sensors only. Ads are served by Google AdMob under the privacy policy linked on this page and inside the app.
