ABYSS is a turn-based deckbuilder built around one rule. A Sigil you play does not go to the discard pile — it enters a queue of three slots, and every card in that queue fires again at the end of every turn.

So playing a Sigil pushes one out. The engine you spent five turns building can be undone by the card in your hand right now — every play is also a choice about what you give up. The queue even fights on its own: there is an achievement for winning a fight without playing a single card.
