Kindred: Dog Training & Cues

Every dog and human invent a private language. Over the course of living together, this language continues to grow and change, but always bonds you both. Kindred is where you track that language.

We built Kindred because that shared language is a remarkable thing two very different creatures can make together, and most people never think to write theirs down.

HOW IT WORKS

1. 50+ words: the app comes with practical and fun words to learn with your dog. Each word comes with instructions, mistakes to avoid, and how to fade the lure to graduate to a cue.
2. Mark fluency as it grows. Slide each word from New to Fluent as your dog gets it. Your word tree fills in as you go.
3. Create your own words: add new words to your lexicon that you and your dog invent together!
4. Lightweight checkins: we'll check in on each word every once in a while to make sure your lexicon stays updated.
5. Unlock plays. Words combine into things you can actually do together: enrichment games, scent work, tricks, everyday manners.
6. Share the tree. Send it to anyone who needs to understand your dog.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• A living word tree. Every cue your dog knows, mapped and connected. Watch it grow from three words to thirty and beyond.
• Real training instructions. Lure, hand signal and verbal cue for each word, written the way a trainer would explain it.
• Common mistakes, called out. The things that quietly stall dog training: never fading the lure, repeating the command, no release cue.
• Your words, not ours. Say "Bottom Down" instead of "Sit" if that's what your dog knows. The cue word is yours to choose.
• 48 plays. Enrichment, puzzles, nose work, tricks and bonding games, each one unlocked by the words your dog already has.
• Built for real dog training. Obedience, leash manners, recall, impulse control, behavior around the house. Puppy or senior rescue, it's the same idea.

PREMIUM Kindred is free, and the whole lexicon works without paying. An optional subscription adds multiple dogs, your own custom plays, and colors for your mastered words.
