Most people watch vertical video with the sound off. Vocap puts the words on screen so they keep watching — and it does the whole job on your iPhone, without uploading your footage anywhere.

Pick a clip. Vocap listens to it on the device, times every single word, and writes the captions into the picture. You get a finished file back in your photo library, ready to post.

EVERY WORD ON ITS OWN BEAT • Word-level timings come from the recogniser, so the highlight lands on the syllable instead of near it. • Tap any word to fix or delete it. The transcript is a row of chips, not a wall of text. • Lines break on reading speed and length, and never end on a stranded one-letter word.

SIXTEEN FINISHED LOOKS • Plates, outlines, glows, hard offset shadows, marker sweeps, karaoke fills, word-by-word arrivals and a one-word-at-a-time template. • Each is a complete recipe — weight, colour, placement and what happens on the spoken word — not a font list to assemble yourself. • The preview is drawn by the same engine as the export, so what you approve is what you get.

MADE FOR THE FEED • Reframe to 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1. The export sheet shows the exact output size and frame rate before you save. • Move the captions up or down to clear a face, a logo, or a player's own buttons. • A guide marks the strip where a player's controls usually sit.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings on your device. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

Note: recognition needs an on-device speech model for your language. On iOS 26 Vocap can download it for you; on earlier versions you add the language under Settings, General, Keyboard, Dictation Languages. Vocap will never quietly upload your video to work around a missing model.
