I'm not a professional developer. We cut the cord, went all-in on streaming, and then nobody in the house could work out when our shows were on or which service had them. I built Bingester to solve that for my own family. It worked, so here it is in case it helps yours.

Bingester keeps track of the shows you're watching and the episodes you've actually seen. Buy it once and it's yours — no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Add a show once and every season and episode is there — tap an episode to check it off, or mark a whole season at a time. Each season shows how far through it you are, so picking up a half-finished show doesn't mean guessing where you left off.

KNOW WHEN SOMETHING NEW AIRS • "Airing Today" arrives at 8am, listing everything you follow that airs that day, so you know what to look forward to • "Available to Stream" arrives once an episode has actually aired • Turn either one off on its own — new episodes still show a badge on the show, which clears as you check them off • Checks run in the background — nothing to refresh by hand

NEW: FOLLOW YOUR TEAMS • Follow teams across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, college football and men's and women's college basketball • The next two weeks of games, with the start time in your own time zone and the channel or service carrying it • "Game Day" arrives at 8am on a day one of your teams plays • While a game is being played, the score and the period update as you watch • A game that finished earlier the same day keeps its final score until the end of the day • Not a sports fan? Switch the whole tab off in Settings

ABOUT STREAMING AVAILABILITY Bingester can show which services carry a show — the full list, on the show's own screen, with the same service listed once rather than repeated for every reseller. This is an optional extra rather than a built-in feature. It runs on Watchmode, and you'll need to add your own free Watchmode API key in Settings to switch it on — it takes a couple of minutes at api.watchmode.com. Everything above works without it.
