There's so much good music that's been forgotten. Mono is where they live again — independent artists, real live concerts, forever free.

I built Mono for one reason to spread joy and happiness around the world. When you listen to music everything just disappears - like your in another universe. No stress, no worries. Just you and your thoughts. Its amazing and I wanted to share this experience to the world! Forever free. Thanks for being here, hope you find something you love!

Here's what's inside: Indie Cloud. Independent artists who put their own music out into the world. Real people making things.

Live Archive. Real concert recordings, taped by people who were actually in the room and kept safe in public archives. Some of them go back to the 1960s.

On This Day. Open Mono and it finds you a concert that was recorded on today's date, sometimes forty years ago to the day. This is my favourite part of the app.

Stations. Make one for how you actually listen. Late night, your commute, focus, working out, winding down. Pick the mood and the era and it keeps going.

Downloads. Save anything to your phone and it plays with no signal at all. On a plane, in a tunnel, out on a walk. You can still open it when you have nothing connected.

One honest note. Mono doesn't have chart music. The songs in here are free because the artists and the archives chose to share them, and this week's number one was never going to be one of those. But there is so much good music in here that has been lost, and I really think you'll find something.

There's a build log inside the app where I write down every version, what I fixed and what broke, including the quiet weeks where not much happened. You can read it any time.
