CALCULATE EQUAL OPENINGS Enter the finished interior height, number of adjustable shelves, shelf thickness, and optional top and bottom offsets. Shelf Planner subtracts the occupied thickness and offsets, then divides the usable space into equal clear openings. Change an input and the result updates immediately, so you can compare layouts without rebuilding a spreadsheet or repeating hand calculations.

PLAN A 32MM CABINET SYSTEM Enable the 32mm Cabinet System when your project uses standard line-boring. Set the first-hole offset and Shelf Planner snaps each shelf to the nearest valid 32mm location. It shows the hole index, ideal equal-spacing position, actual snapped position, and the positive or negative difference. This makes it easier to pair both cabinet sides and understand exactly how a theoretical layout changes at the drill row.

CHECK SHELF SAG EARLY Use the Sag tab to enter unsupported span, depth, thickness, material, and an estimated evenly distributed load. Choose plywood, MDF, particle board, solid wood, melamine, or a general custom-material value. Shelf Planner estimates mid-span deflection, compares it with an allowable target, labels the result Safe, Caution, or Warning, and shows a recommended maximum span. When the estimate is high, it can suggest a minimum thickness and remind you to consider front nosing, center support, or a shorter span.

SAVE PROJECTS LOCALLY Name and save a shelf plan, then reopen it from Recent Projects. Saved projects automatically retain later edits. Duplicate a project to test another shelf count or thickness while preserving the original, rename it for a room or cabinet, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Project notes travel with the plan and can be included in the PDF when useful.

EXPORT A WORKSHOP PDF Create a PDF locally with the project title, cabinet interior dimensions, date, shelf drawing, measurement table, and 32mm hole references. In Settings, choose whether the PDF also includes the visual diagram, sag result, and project notes. Use the iOS share sheet to save to Files, print through an available destination, or send the document using an app you select. Shelf Planner never chooses a recipient or upload location for you.

Before purchasing, drilling, cutting, loading, or installing, confirm the finished opening, shelf orientation, material properties, support method, hardware clearance, drilling setup, tool calibration, and all displayed measurements. Build from verified dimensions, not assumptions.
