Poulpy: Family Chores

Poulpy helps a family split up the household chores, and see week after week what actually got done.

ONE GOAL, NOT A SCOREBOARD

You set a goal for the week, as a percentage of chores approved. That is the only measure in the app, and it shows up everywhere: everyone knows how many chores they have left to reach it. No score to compare between siblings, no currency to negotiate.

EVERYONE HAS A SEAT

Whoever installs the app creates the family, then invites the others with a link. There is nothing for them to set up: they tap the link and they are in. The founder decides who approves chores, and connects each child to their profile.

KIDS ASK, PARENTS APPROVE

A child sees their chores for the day and for the week. When they are done, they say so, with a photo if they want. A parent approves or declines, with a comment. Nothing ticks itself off.

A parent never has to wait for that request, though: they approve a chore they have seen done, right away. What matters is that the bed is made, not that the child remembered to open the app.

THE DAY, AND WHO HAS WHAT

The day reads both ways. By chore: everything planned for today, in time order, with the name of whoever it falls to. By kid: where each one stands, and what they have left to hit the week's goal.

THE WIDGET, ON YOUR HOME SCREEN

The whole family's day without opening the app: chores grouped by child, in their own color, with anything awaiting approval on top. A parent approves with one tap. A child sends theirs the same way. Three sizes, including a large one where a whole sibling day fits at once.

WHAT BRINGS KIDS BACK

Streaks of perfect days, badges to earn, and a small celebration every time a chore is approved.

Spread the chores day by day, with a tap on a name. Press and hold to cover the whole week. Save a typical week to replay it later, or export the schedule to print.

REMINDERS, NO SERVER

A reminder before a chore is due, the morning lineup, the Sunday recap. Everything is worked out on your iPhone.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

Poulpy has no server. Everything is stored in your own iCloud and shared with your family through Apple's own mechanism. No account to create, no password, no email address to hand over. No ads, no trackers, no data passed to anyone. You can export the whole thing at any time into a file you keep.

Poulpy requires an active iCloud account on the device of every family member.
