EIGHT TOOLS WITH DISTINCT PURPOSES Brush, scraper, air blower, wooden probe, pipette, chisel, stabilizer, and material scanner each behave differently. The wrong tool may save time, but it can leave permanent damage.

RESEARCH, RESCUE, AND HIDDEN SECRETS Identify artifacts using visible clues about material, shape, period, and excavation context.
