Slingword's AI writes the meaning, two example sentences, the part of speech and the reading, and generates the pronunciation audio. It also fixes your typos: type "techknologe" and it finds "technology". You get a finished flashcard from a single word.

• Cards: flip through a deck one word at a time, with a timer if you want
• Handwriting: trace the word by hand on screen. Phones rotate the writing area so you get a full line
• Keyboard practice: type the word out, with kana input and conversion for Japanese

Every word carries a memory state that moves as you get it right or wrong: new, forgotten, remembered, memorized, at risk. Your analytics show the split at a glance and list the words you keep missing.

BUILT FOR STUDYING ALONE No sign-up, no password, no email. Open the app and start. Your decks live in a database on your device, so browsing and studying work with no connection at all. Make as many decks as you like, one per language or one per topic, plus an archive for words you are done with. A home screen widget lets you flip through words without opening the app, and study reminders fire on the days and times you choose.

AND IF SOMEONE ELSE PICKS YOUR WORDS Learning with a teacher, a tutor, or a friend who already speaks the language? Connect with an invite code and they can send you words directly. Their words arrive grouped by delivery, pre-selected to keep; drop the ones you already know and the rest go straight into your deck, marked with who sent them. They can see how many of their words actually stuck.

YOUR VOCABULARY STAYS YOURS Decks, words, memory states and settings live on your device, not on our servers. Words you add and study alone never leave your phone. Only items you actually send to another person are stored, and only to deliver them. Vocabulary sync with a connected person is off by default.

Notifications are off until you turn them on. No accounts, no ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking SDKs.
