Hale Ali'i Kai runs a single oceanfront condo in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i — for the guests staying in it and the people looking after it. There is no account to create and no password to remember. You sign in with the email address or mobile number we already have for you, we send a one-time code, and the app opens to whichever side is yours.

GUESTS Sign in with the details on your reservation and the app opens to your stay:

• Your dates, with a countdown to check-in
• Your door code, live from check-in time on arrival day
• The WiFi network and password, ready to copy
• Building check-in, so the front desk has your details before you land
• The Kona forecast for your dates
• A direct message thread with your hosts — ask anything, any time
• Lock and unlock the door from your phone while you are at the property

HOSTS AND OPERATORS Sign in with an operator account and the same app becomes the tool that runs the property:

• Today at a glance: who is in house, who arrives next, what is unread
• Every booking, past and upcoming, with guest details and the door log
• Guest messages in one thread per guest, whether they wrote from the app or by text
• Calls on the property line, in and out, with voicemail
• Contacts, merged from your bookings and your own additions
• A shared task list for everyone maintaining the condo

PRIVACY Location is used only to confirm you are at the property before the door can be operated from your phone, only while the app is open, and never in the background. Contacts, if you allow access, are matched to caller IDs on your device and are never uploaded. We do not track you and we sell nothing to advertisers.

Hale Ali'i Kai is one vacation rental, not a booking marketplace. The app is for guests with a reservation and for the people who run the property; it has nothing to show anyone else.
