Crazy Eights: Offline Card

Crazy Eights is the card game nearly everyone already knows.

Match the top card by suit or rank, empty your hand first, and win. A round takes about a minute. No account, no login, and it plays offline.

A GAME FOR EVERY TABLE Kitchen tables, holiday cabins, long train rides — this game gets played wherever a deck of cards comes out. Every country has its own name for it and its own way of playing it. Here the table is already set: open the app and your computer opponents are in their seats.

HOW A TURN GOES The pile shows one card. Play anything that matches its suit or its rank. Nothing to play? Draw one from the deck and your turn passes. Then the power cards start doing their work — a wild that renames the suit, a skip, a reversal, and cards that make the next player draw. Get down to your last card and the table knows it.

OPPONENTS THAT DO NOT HAND YOU THE WIN Two to five players at the table. The computer watches how many cards the next player is holding and saves its attack cards until that player is down to two or fewer. When it changes the suit, it picks the one it holds most of.

PLAYS OFFLINE On a plane, on a train with one bar of signal. Nothing to download between rounds, nobody to wait for, no turn timer ticking while you think.

SIT DOWN FOR ONE MINUTE OR FOR AN HOUR Two players is a duel. Five players is a scramble where the direction flips twice before the turn comes back to you. Start a new round the moment the last one ends. And when the deck runs out the round does not stop — the top card stays and the rest is shuffled back in.

EVERYONE LEARNED THIS GAME A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY The app carries six of the ways it is played. Pick the one closest to how you learned it, or see how it goes somewhere else. Change it any time in Settings; the deck, the card faces and the opponents all change with it.

CRAZY EIGHTS — 52 cards 8 wild. Play it on any card at all and name the suit that follows Q skips the next player A reverses the direction of play 2 the next player draws two — and twos stack, so whoever cannot answer takes the whole pile

ONE CARD — 54 cards with two Jokers. Korea 7 only when it matches the pile — then name the new suit; the rank still counts after the change J skips. Q reverses. K keeps the turn — play one more card A attacks for three, the Ace of Spades and the Black Joker for five, 2 for two, the Color Joker for seven 3 of the matching suit cancels the attack outright Let your hand reach twenty cards and you are out of the round

MAU-MAU (BRAZIL) — 52 cards J wild. A skips. Q reverses 7 the next player draws two, and sevens stack 9 the player before you draws one, and there is no answer to it

AMERICAN PAGE ONE — 54 cards with two Jokers. Japan 8 wild. J skips. Q reverses 2, 3 and the Jokers make the next player draw two, three or four Answer with the same card or take the pile

PIS YEDILI — 52 cards. Türkiye J wild. 8 skips. 10 reverses 7 the next player draws three, and sevens stack The pile always opens on a club
