Fontessa - Fonts Keyboard

469 text styles and 124 keyboard themes, on the keyboard you already type on. Nothing you type is ever sent anywhere — the keyboard ships with no networking code at all.

Fontessa is a keyboard. Not a copy-and-paste app you have to leave and come back to — a real keyboard you switch to with the globe key, type on, and stay in.

Pick a style once and everything you type comes out in it: Messages, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, a bio, a search bar. No switching apps, no clipboard, no pasting.

Every style is ordinary Unicode. Nothing is an image, and nothing needs the other app to add support for it — your message stays readable wherever it lands.

THE KEYBOARD CANNOT PHONE HOME

Most font keyboards ask for Full Access and give you a privacy policy full of maybes. Here is the specific promise instead:

The keyboard extension contains no networking code. Not disabled, not switched off behind a setting — absent from the built extension, with an automated check that fails our release if any is added. Your keystrokes are transformed on your device, character by character, and forgotten.

Full Access is optional. iOS asks for it so the keyboard can read the theme and layout you chose in the app. Leave it off and the keyboard still types.

FREE, AND WHAT PRO ADDS

The free version is a real keyboard, not a trial: 39 styles and 22 themes, no time limit. It shows ads.

Fontessa Pro unlocks all 469 styles and all 124 themes and removes the ads. Monthly, yearly, or a one-off lifetime purchase — the lifetime one is a single payment with no subscription and nothing to cancel.

Symbols, kaomoji and text art are free for everyone, Pro or not.

SETTING IT UP

iOS makes you add a keyboard by hand. The app walks you through it: Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Fontessa, then the globe key while you type.
