Field Camera & Coordinates

Field Camera stamps every photo with where and when it was taken — coordinates, compass bearing, altitude, date and time — burned into the picture and written into the file's metadata, so the record holds up in any other software.

Built for people whose photos are evidence: surveyors, insurance adjusters, building inspectors, solar and telecom crews, contractors, arborists, environmental consultants and anyone who has to prove where they were standing.

TWO PHOTOS, EVERY TIME

Field Camera saves the stamped photo and an untouched original of the same shot. The stamp can be redrawn from that original months later with different fields, a different layout, or a coordinate format you didn't need at the time. Your originals are never modified.

A STAMP YOU CAN READ

Reorder the fields. Four presets — Survey, Insurance, Minimal, Everything. Four sizes, three backgrounds, top or bottom. The stamp sits on a scrim so it stays legible against a blown-out sky or a dark crawlspace, and what you see in the viewfinder is exactly what gets burned into the photo.

METADATA THAT TRAVELS

GPS latitude and longitude, altitude with the correct reference, image direction, positioning error, UTC timestamps and your photo description are all written into the file. Drop the photo into GIS software, a report, or a claims system and the position comes with it.

YOUR LIBRARY STAYS YOURS

Photos are kept inside Field Camera, not scattered through your camera roll — so clearing your camera roll never empties your library. Browse them as a grid or on a map, search by project, description or address, and export when you're ready. A copy can go to your camera roll too, if you want one.

PRIVACY

Field Camera has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Your photos, coordinates and notes stay on your device unless you export or share them yourself. Location is read only while you have the app open, at the moment you take a photo.
