Spy: Guess the Place

Over a hundred locations, seven languages, and one phone going around the table. No accounts, no internet, no ads. Just your friends and one very convincing liar.

One of you does not know where you are.

Spy is a pass-and-play party game for 3 to 50 players and a single phone. Everyone except the spies is shown the same location — a submarine, a night market, a ski resort. The spies are shown nothing but the word SPY.

Then the questions start. Answer vaguely enough that the spy cannot pin the place down, and clearly enough to prove that you know it.

HOW IT PLAYS

1. Set the number of players, how many of them are spies, and which location packs to draw from.
2. Pass the phone around the table. Each player flips the card in private, reads the role, flips it back.
3. After the last card the round begins: going in a circle, ask each other questions that can be answered yes or no.
4. Accuse someone — or, if you are the spy, stop the game and name the place.

The Basic pack and tables of up to 4 players are free, with no ads and no time limit. One optional purchase, Premium, unlocks every other location pack — Leisure, Work, Transport, Food, Sport, and every pack added later — and opens the table up to 50 players. One payment, no subscription.

WHAT IS INSIDE

• Hundreds of locations, sorted into themed packs
• One or more spies at the table — there are always at least two non-spies left
• A location that has just come up is held back for the next nine rounds, so ten evenings in a row give you ten different places
• Every pack can be opened and read before you start, so nobody gets a word they have never heard

MADE TO BE PASSED AROUND

Paper cards on a green table. A real card flip, with a different sound going face up and face down, and vibration you can switch off. Nothing on the screen can give away a role while the phone travels: the spies never learn the location, and nobody learns who the spies are until you decide it is time.
