Features & Capabilities

Don't just outrun the police. Wreck them. Now with an in-game Game Center leaderboard and new drag-to-steer controls. Quick runs, one thumb, plays offline.

Outrunning the police is easy. Wrecking them is the point.

Chasebreak is a one-handed arcade chase. Drift through an art deco city while the police close in, and score by taking them out of the game: bait them into a corner, let them pile into each other, and keep the chain alive.

DAY INTO NIGHT The city runs on its own clock. Drive long enough and the sun goes down: headlights on, light bars sweeping the streets, windows and street lamps lit.

ONE FINGER, NO TUTORIAL Touch anywhere in the lower half and a thumb stick appears under your thumb. Drag the way you want the car to go. That is the whole control scheme. There is one more button, and it is optional.

WRECK, DON'T ESCAPE Police wrecks are the score. Lead a pursuer into a wall, or into another pursuer, and the combo climbs all the way to x5. CHASEBREAK, MEGA CHASEBREAK, ULTIMATE CHASEBREAK: keep it going and the numbers stop being polite.

THE 180 One button spins the car to face the way you came while it keeps sliding the same way. It pays out a burst of speed, and it makes the police angrier: keep doing it and more of them come, sooner and faster.

FOUR CARS, NONE OF THEM BETTER The garage is a set of trade-offs, not a ladder. The SUV is the slowest and grips hardest. The Roadster is quick and lets go early. The Hypercar is the fastest thing in the city and the worst at corners: it buys pace with points. The Street Sport and the SUV are yours from the first run; borrow the Roadster or the Hypercar for three runs by watching an ad. Paint them how you like.

THREE DIFFICULTIES THAT MEAN IT Harder modes give you less durability, a shorter mercy window after a hit, and more police, arriving sooner. They also pay up to five times the score. The mode is a wager, not a label.

LEADERBOARD Send your best score to Game Center and see where you stand: worldwide or among friends, this week or all time.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO No accounts, no sign-up, nothing to buy. The only ads are the ones you choose to watch: a second chance in a run, or a borrowed car. The game plays offline; ads and the leaderboard need a connection.
