Every other weight app draws that noise and leaves the filtering to you. You did everything right, the number went up, and you talk yourself out of it. That's where people quit.

Steady filters. Drag a ruler to your weight, it goes into Apple Health, and you see one smoothed line.

THE LINE

An exponentially weighted moving average over your whole history. A 1.5 kg salt spike moves the line by 0.27 kg and fades. The reading shows up as a dot well off the line. The line barely notices.

Week charts fit a straight line through seven readings, because over seven points smoothing still wobbles and tells you nothing. Year charts smooth weekly averages a second time.

TWO SCREENS

Log is a ruler you drag. It clicks every 100 grams and starts where you were yesterday. No keypad, no picker wheel.

Trend is one chart and four figures: today, yesterday, your seven-day average, and your change per week.

The trend gets the big number. Today's reading doesn't. The daily number is the noise.

NOT IN IT

No account. No subscription. No ads. No streaks, no badges, no notifications. No settings, because units and appearance follow your phone. No green for down and no red for up, because colour-coding a measurement turns it into a verdict.

YOUR DATA

Your weight lives in Apple Health and nowhere else. No server, no analytics, no network code of any kind. Steady works in airplane mode, permanently. We can't see your weight. Neither can Apple.
