StudioTrackr: Mixes & Notes

Bounce it and it's on your phone. Play the record in order, note what you hear at the second you hear it, and let CarPlay take the note by voice in the car.

Bounce a mix at your desk and it's on your phone before you leave the room. Play the record in album order, and when something catches your ear, one tap saves a note at that exact second — on the song's punch list, where the rest of the band sees it.

Hear the mix somewhere other than the room where you made it: the car, headphones, walking the dog. That is where you find out whether it works.

THE RECORD, NOT A FOLDER OF FILES • Every song's current mix, in album order, start to finish • No AirDrop, no file sharing apps, no sending files to yourself • With the free StudioTrackr Bounce app for Mac watching your export folder, a bounce files itself under the right song and turns up here • Plays in the background and on the lock screen, like anything else you listen to

NOTES AT THE SECOND YOU HEARD IT • One tap freezes the timestamp — type the thought and keep listening • Notes land on that song's punch list, tagged with the version they were captured on • Reply to a bandmate's note, and resolve it once it's fixed • "Hey Siri, mix feedback on StudioTrackr" captures one without touching the phone — dictated notes are saved on the device first, so a dead spot can't lose one

RADIO MODE — HEAR YOUR DEMOS CLOSER TO FINISHED • Every bounce comes back with a second version next to it: level-matched and lightly polished, the way a mix gets treated on its way to a master • A rough holds its own against a commercial track in the car • One tap between Radio and Flat, without stopping the song • On while a song is still being written, tracked or mixed; off once it is being mastered — and always yours to override

IN THE CAR — CARPLAY • Your projects and their songs on the car screen, and one tap plays the record • Flip Radio Mode from the car, at the same point in the song • The note button dictates: it stops on the bar you're judging, asks what your note is, and saves it there • Notes are capture-only in the car. Reading them is what the phone is for

THE BAND'S NOTES, IN ONE LIST • Everyone invited to a project hears the same current mixes • Every note says who left it and which version it was about • Open items stay open across new bounces until someone resolves them
