Private Angler is a fishing journal stored on your iPhone, with no account or public feed. Add catches while recording a trip, including multiple fish species, baits, photos and notes. Quiet days count too: save trips with no catches.

Choose a precise spot on Apple Maps, drag the pin to correct it, or save without a location. Individual spot selection and editing are free. Request current weather at your chosen spot or enter conditions manually; weather requests need internet access and do not provide historical weather.

Free includes up to 25 catch records. Pro adds unlimited catches, a journal-wide private map, advanced filters, personal insights and CSV import/export. CSV transfers catch data, not photos or complete trips; coordinates require opt-in. Your journal is local, with no developer-operated cloud sync. Apple provides maps, weather and purchases.
