Golf Hop strips golf down to the bone: grassy islands floating in the clouds, and one swing to reach the next one.

PLAYS WITH ONE FINGER Hold to charge, release to swing. That is the whole control scheme. The power meter reads in metres, so you always know exactly how far the shot will carry — no guesswork.

BUT IT ISN'T EASY Three things shape every shot, and all three are yours to control:

• Launch angle — steeper flies higher, but 45 degrees carries furthest • Contact point — strike left or right to bend the ball, high or low to make it run on or check up • Wind — from hole 4 onward, always blowing across your line, building to 5 m/s

The wind pushes one way, spin bends the other. Playing well isn't about hitting hard. It's about using one to cancel the other.

ONE LIFE, THAT'S ALL Miss an island once and the run is over. No spare lives, no hearts to hoard. Every swing is real.

You get exactly one rewarded video per run to continue. When to spend it is your call.

PRECISION PAYS Landing on the green scores. Landing near the cup scores far more. Roll it in for a GREAT. Drop it straight in without touching grass for a PERFECT — and the longer the hole, the more that shot is worth.

IT GETS HARDER, NEVER IMPOSSIBLE The first hole sits 30 metres away. The further you go, the further the islands retreat — out to 108 metres — and the harder the wind blows. But one rule never breaks: every hole is reachable in a single shot. If you miss, that was you, not the game.

Every tenth hole is a breather: closer in, with a wider green.

NO TWO RUNS ALIKE Every hole is generated as you play. There are no hand-built levels to memorise, and there is no final hole. Only your best run, and whether this one beats it.
