Block the flood, save the town
Water spreads every turn into any hex you have not walled. You get three pieces a turn. No timer, no clock, no rush: the water only moves when you do.
The water is rising in the middle of the island, and every turn it spreads into every hex around it that you have not walled off.
You get three wall pieces at the start of each turn. Drag them onto the hexes. The moment the water can no longer reach a single house, the town is safe and the island is yours.
There is no timer. No move counter, no confirm button, nothing counting down but the water itself. Sit on a turn as long as you like — the island waits.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Three pieces a turn: usually two singles and a pair, sometimes a three-hex piece. Each one arrives in a fixed orientation — you place it as dealt, so the shape you're given is part of the puzzle. • Your hand is your whole budget. When it's empty the turn ends on its own — nothing to confirm. • Walls are permanent and watertight. Rocks are free walls that came with the island. Every stretch of coastline holds water for nothing, so let the sea build half your line. • Houses can't be walled over. They're what you're protecting. • Lose one house and the town shrinks, but the island plays on. The second one ends it. One misplaced piece is never fatal, so spotting a mistake two turns later still means something.
WHAT THE ISLAND THROWS AT YOU
• FISSURES crack open one turn before they go, then turn to water in the middle of the board. You can't wall a fissure — you have to wall around it, and six sides means that ring can eat most of a turn. • ICE holds water back like rock, but the number on it drops every turn. At zero it becomes a spring. A free wall now, a new flood later, and you can read the deadline from turn one. • Ponds that merge if you ignore them, necks where cutting the narrow crossing beats chasing the water, and boards where the town is surrounded and the whole puzzle reads backwards.
ISLANDS, EVERY ONE HAND-BUILT
No generated boards, no padding. Every island was drawn by hand, then machine-checked to prove it can actually be solved and to measure exactly how much wall the answer needs. When a level comes down to your last piece, that's the design, not a coincidence.
