What's For Dinner turns "I don't know, what do you want?" into an actual answer.

I built this because my own kitchen was stuck in the same nightly loop — standing there with no idea what to cook, defaulting to the same five meals on repeat, or giving up and ordering takeout because deciding felt harder than cooking. So I made a small app that just picks for you, from the meals you actually make, the way you'd actually cook them.

Add the dinners you already know how to make — paste in a recipe link and it'll pull in the details automatically — tag them (quick, vegetarian, kid-approved, whatever fits your house), and let the app pick one for tonight. It remembers what you've cooked recently and won't suggest it again until enough time has passed, so you're not eating the same thing three nights running just because the randomizer got lazy.

A few things it does for you: • Picks a dinner filtered by how much time you have and which tags matter tonight • Skips anything you've cooked too recently — you set the window • Fills out a whole week at once when you'd rather plan ahead than decide daily • Shares your meal list and tonight's pick with the rest of your household, synced across everyone's phones • Puts tonight's pick on your Home Screen, and answers "Hey Siri, what's for dinner?" • Settles it with a quick household vote when nobody can agree • Lets you favorite the meals you love, or tell it to stop suggesting one entirely • Keeps a running log of what you've actually cooked • Exports a backup of everything, because it's your list, not mine

No account, no login, no ads, nothing tracked or sold. Household sharing is the only thing that leaves your device, and only if you turn it on.

This is a one-person project — no team, no investors, just something I built to solve my own kitchen problem and decided to put out into the world.
