Everything this app shows comes from what the church already publishes — the website and the Friday email — so it stays current without anyone at the church keeping a second system.

THIS SUNDAY Service times and the sermon theme, taken from the weekly email. When there is no Sunday School over the summer, the app says so.

SERMONS Every recorded service, searchable by title or by Scripture and grouped by the season of the church year. Each one has a "skip to the sermon" button, so you can go straight to the message instead of scrolling through the whole service.

Sermons keep playing when your iPhone is locked or in your pocket, so you can listen on the drive to work or on a walk. The title and Scripture appear on the lock screen, and your car stereo and headphone buttons work as you would expect.

THE WEEK The whole Friday update, laid out to read on a phone: the pastor's letter, the week's schedule, every announcement and the photographs. Past weeks are kept too, going back considerably further than the mailing list holds.

SPECIAL SERVICES When the church posts a page for Christmas Eve, Holy Week or a blood drive, it appears here on its own — and disappears once the day has passed.
