Asma ul Husnaa (The 99 Names)

"Draw closer to Allah SWT through His 99 Beautiful Names. Daily dua, hadith & name, prayer times, Qibla, and memorization — beautifully designed, in 8 languages.

This is an Islamic app mainly focused on the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah SWT (Asma ul Husnaa). This app has a clean modern theme and greets the user with the Gregorian and Islamic date. In the home page, labeled "Today", the user can find a daily dua, hadith, and name. If they choose so, they can go into full detail and view an explanation, translation, transliteration, and the common practice behind the daily dua, hadith, or name. Also in the "Today" page, one can access the donation system. The user can either donate to me, the creator of this app (potentially gaining Sadaqah Jariyyah, Insha'Allah), or to Palestine.

99 NAMES:

In the second page, labeled "99 Names", the user can explore all of the Asma ul Husnaa in two modes: Browse and Memorize. In Browse mode, every name is displayed with its Arabic calligraphy, transliteration, and meaning, and a search bar lets the user find any name by its name or meaning. Tapping a name opens its full detail — the Arabic, transliteration, meaning, a deeper explanation, and the traditional practice associated with reciting it.

In Memorize mode, the app becomes a personal hifdh companion. Inspired by the hadith "Allah has ninety-nine names; whoever preserves them will enter Paradise" (Sahih al-Bukhari), the user can choose between three study modes: Flashcards, where they flip between the Arabic and the meaning and mark what they know; Multiple Choice, where they pick the correct meaning from four options; and Sequential Recall, where they go through all 99 names in order, in either learning or test mode. The app tracks every name as Known, Learning, or New, and displays the user's overall memorization progress.

PRAYER:

In the third page, labeled "Prayer", the user can view accurate daily prayer times — Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha — based on their chosen city, with a live countdown to the next prayer and an optional Hanafi Asr setting. This page also features a Qibla compass that points the user toward the Kaaba, and even celebrates when they are facing Mecca. Finally, the user can open a full Islamic (Hijri) calendar, browse the months, and view the important days of the Islamic year along with their significance.

FAVORITES:

In the fourth page, labeled "Favorites", the user can revisit any name, dua, or hadith they have saved by tapping the heart icon anywhere in the app — building their own personal collection of adhkar and reminders.

SETTINGS:

In the fifth page, labeled "Settings", the user can personalize their experience: switch between light and dark themes, set their prayer city, and view a summary of their memorization progress. The entire app can also be translated into eight languages — English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Turkish, and Farsi — while all Arabic text, such as the names and duas themselves, is always preserved in its original form.
