Photonder: Photo Cleanup

Ten minutes of swiping clears out hundreds of photos. Nothing is deleted until you confirm, and nothing you have judged is ever shown twice.

Your camera roll has thousands of photos. Deleting them one by one is miserable, so you never do it. Photonder makes it a game you can finish.

Pick a folder. Photonder shows you one photo at a time. Swipe right to keep it, swipe left to mark it for deletion. That's the whole app.

WHAT MAKES IT WORK

Nothing comes back. Photonder remembers every photo you have already judged, so the next session starts where you left off instead of showing you the same holiday snaps again. Ten minutes on the bus actually makes a dent.

Nothing is deleted by surprise. Photos you swipe left are only marked. At the end of a session you see the whole batch, can look through it, and confirm — and then your phone asks one more time before anything goes. Deleted photos land in your device's recently deleted album, so a mistake is recoverable there.

Undo whenever you want. Tap undo, or tap the previous photo, and you are back one step with that decision forgotten.

Zoom before you decide. Pinch or double-tap to check whether that shot is actually sharp. Swiping pauses while zoomed so you can't delete a photo by accident.

Skip what you can't decide. Tap the next photo to pass over the current one without judging it. It comes back another time — unlike a keep, which is a decision never to see it again.

Choose what to review. Settings can narrow the queue to photos older than six months, a year, two years, or everything since a date you pick. Good for clearing a backlog without touching last week's pictures.

Change your mind about what you kept. One button in Settings forgets your decisions and puts the photos you kept back in the queue. It is honest about its limits: photos you already deleted are gone from Photonder's reach, and only your device's recently deleted album can bring those back.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Photonder has no internet permission at all. Your photos never leave your device, there is no account, no analytics, and no ads. The list of what you have already judged is stored in a local database on your phone and nowhere else.
