Firstlight Bible

Firstlight Bible is for people who take notes in church and never read them again.

Record the sermon. Type while you listen — every line you write is stamped to the moment it was said, so a half-finished thought can be played back in the preacher's own voice a week later. When it ends, your iPhone writes the summary: the thesis, the outline, the passages named, and what to do about it.

Your recordings never leave your phone. Transcription happens on the iPhone itself, and the audio stays there. The written parts — the summary, the coach, the devotions — are written by Claude. There is no account and no sign-in, and nobody at this end reads what you wrote.

SUBSCRIPTION Firstlight Bible requires a subscription to access features like generated writing. An active subscription includes a monthly allowance of generated writing — enough for a normal month. One subscription covers your Family Sharing group. Current pricing is displayed within the app and on the App Store page. Charged to your Apple Account, it renews until cancelled, and you can cancel anytime in Settings.

If a month runs heavy you can add more writing as a one-off purchase. What you add never expires: it waits until the included allowance runs out, and carries over until you use it. Nothing renews.

A NOTE ON THE AI The coach, devotions, and summaries are written by Claude, and generated writing can be confidently wrong. Treat them as a study aid — read the passage yourself, and check anything you intend to act on or teach.

Reading, notes, highlights, recording, transcription, scanning, and search work offline. Only generated writing needs a connection.
