Classroom Acoustics helps parents and professionals understand how a room may support—or get in the way of—listening. It is designed for families, teachers, SENCOs, Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People, educational audiologists and inclusion teams.

Place an iPhone or iPad where listening happens and follow four connected checks: background noise, how clearly speech rises above room noise, reverberation, and structured room observations. Traffic-light summaries make the overview easy to see and discuss, while detailed evidence remains available when it is needed.

Try the fictional demo before creating a room. The app guides each capture, keeps live calculations and Stop and Save controls beside the measurement, and lets you add room details and photographs.

For deeper review, explore LAeq−L90 and L10−L90 listening indicators, octave-band reverberation, Schroeder decay curves, C50 clarity and possible repeating reflections. Use a clap or a connected quality speaker for the swept-sine route. A visible confidence ladder distinguishes guided built-in estimates, imported microphone profiles and reference checks. Relative listening and decay measures remain useful without an absolute sound-level offset.

Choose BATOD, BB93, Universal Acoustic Design or ASHA/ANSI screening references. Results are interpreted in the selected context and can support comparison, discussion and follow-up.

Your room evidence stays on the device unless you choose to export it. Create clear HTML and PDF reports, full or de-identified data, and versioned files for the Classroom Acoustics web app and RING. There is no Hear2Learn account, advertising or analytics service in version 1.

Two fictional demo rooms and one genuine local room are included free. Annual or lifetime Unlimited Rooms lets you retain additional rooms, repeat checks and use Strategy.

Classroom Acoustics is a guided observation and screening tool, not a certified sound level meter, formal compliance survey or diagnostic tool.
