Features & Capabilities

Recipes assume a 77°F kitchen. Yours isn't. Real ready-times for dough and starter, converted to your kitchen and calibrated to your culture.

Recipes are written for a 77°F / 25°C kitchen. Yours probably isn't — and that is the difference between a four-hour rise and a seven-hour one. This app is the clock that does the conversion, and then learns your starter.

NOT ANOTHER FEEDING REMINDER

Most sourdough apps set alarms at fixed intervals. Fermentation doesn't run on intervals; it runs on temperature. This one computes.

HOW THE CLOCK WORKS

• Tell it the rise time your recipe states and how warm your kitchen actually is. It converts the time using the temperature rule fermentation follows — a few degrees cooler can add hours. • The answer is a clock time, "ready around 5:40", with a projected rise curve. Not a countdown you have to interpret. • Mark the real moment your starter peaks or your dough doubles. Every mark recalibrates the clock to your own starter's pace — after a few marks the prediction is yours, not a table's. • A what-if slider shows how a warmer spot by the oven or a cooler pantry moves the clock. • If the dough would be ready in the middle of the night, it tells you now — and suggests the fridge: retard overnight, bake in the morning.

STARTER CARE THAT FOLLOWS THE STARTER

• Counter starters get a feeding window built around the projected peak, not a fixed alarm. • Fridge starters get a weekly rhythm. • Feeding ratios shift the peak — 1:1:1 and 1:10:10 are hours apart. The clock accounts for it.

WHAT YOU GET

• Bake Clock: the big ready-time, the rise curve with your target volume, the what-if slider, and the full breakdown of how the clock decided. • Today: your starter's peak countdown, the active dough with its stage, and one-tap logging for feedings, doughs and marks. • Cold retard, final proof and bulk ferment tracked as separate stages, each with its own clock. • Trends: feeding streak, bakes this week, a monthly calendar of feeds and bakes, and how many bread types you've baked. • Challenges every day, week and month, plus 80 badges for the habits that actually keep a starter alive — feeding in the window, marking peaks, baking through winter kitchens.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS

The clock is an estimate built from temperature, your recipe and your marks. It plans; your eyes and hands decide — baking is a craft, and a poke test still beats any model. No health claims, no nutrition tracking. Works offline, keeps everything on your device, and asks for no account.

Celsius or Fahrenheit, your choice. The maths underneath is the same.
