Lidwoordje – Dutch: de of het

De or het? Play a 10-word game, learn the rule the moment you slip, keep your streak alive. New: streak calendar, combos and a fresh Play tab. Two minutes a day.

De or het? Never guess again.

Lidwoordje turns the hardest part of Dutch — the articles — into a quick game. Every game is 10 words: pick de or het, get instant feedback, and learn the rule the moment you get one wrong. Two minutes a day is enough.

HOW IT WORKS • Quick 10-word games with points for speed and accuracy • Wrong answer? You see the rule on the spot (-je is always het, -heid is always de …) • Your mistakes come back until you know them — spaced repetition decides which words you see next • Train the words you just missed in an extra round

KNOW THE RULES, NOT JUST THE WORDS The pattern list shows every rule at a glance: diminutives, -ing, -heid, -tie, -isme, languages and metals, people and professions, and more — each with examples.

SEE YOUR PROGRESS • A daily streak that keeps you coming back • Mastered words and your accuracy at a glance • Every game saved, so you can look back at your answers

PLAY WITH FRIENDS Share your scores through iCloud and follow your friends' scoreboards. Beat your own record — points, time, and confetti for every new high score.

MADE FOR NT2 and inburgering learners, expats, students, and everyone who still hesitates between de and het — from A1 to the Staatsexamen. Word meanings are shown in your language: English, German, Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
