After a splash, the pool, rain, or a sweaty workout, water sits inside the speaker chamber and makes everything sound muffled, crackly, or far too quiet. A cleaning tone vibrates the speaker membrane fast enough to force that water out, and a wider sweep shakes loose the dust and pocket lint sitting on the grille.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Turn the volume up and disconnect any headphones, AirPods, or Bluetooth speakers.
2. Hold your iPhone with the speaker facing down so gravity helps the water out.
3. Choose a cleaning mode and start the cycle.
4. Let it run to the end, wipe away any beads of water, then run Sound Test.
5. Still muffled? Run it two or three more times.

GOOD TO KNOW Cleaning plays loud tones through the speaker on purpose — that is what moves the water. Start at a moderate volume, raise it gradually, and keep the phone away from your ear while a cycle is running.

Fix My Speaker helps with surface water and loose debris on and around the speaker. It cannot repair hardware damage or reach water deeper inside the device. If your iPhone took a serious soak, power it off, let it dry, and contact Apple Support or a qualified repair shop.
