Simple Prayer: Times & Qibla

Simple Prayer shows accurate prayer times, helps you keep track of your prayers, and points you to the Qibla. It is free, with no ads and no account, and your prayer record never leaves your phone.

Prayer times Times are calculated on your phone, so the app works without internet. The calculation method is picked automatically for your country — Diyanet, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, Moonsighting Committee, Jafari and more — and you can change it, adjust each prayer by minutes to match your mosque, choose Hanafi or Shafi Asr, and adjust the Hijri date.

Reminders Each prayer can have three reminders: the adhan when its time comes in, an earlier one to wake you (many use it for Fajr), and a quiet last call before the time runs out. Every reminder can be silent, a simple tone, or the adhan, with a choice of recitations. If you press and hold a reminder, you can record the prayer right there, without opening the app.

Tracking When you pray, tap the prayer and it is recorded. A past prayer takes one more tap: prayed, prayed late, or missed. Anything can be changed later in History. There is a daily streak if you want one, a calendar of your days, and honest statistics.

The app never scolds you. During menstruation or postnatal bleeding, excused days mark nothing as missed and remind you of nothing — and the mode can end by itself after the days you choose. When you travel, travel mode understands shortened and joined prayers, so a joined prayer is never wrongly marked late. If you have missed prayers to make up, the qada counter counts down as you pray them and shows the day you will be done — or you can set the count aside and start fresh.

Tracking is optional everywhere. If you only want times and the Qibla, nothing will ever ask you to log a prayer.

Qibla The compass shows the Kaaba on its dial and tells you plainly: "38° to the left" — then confirms clearly when you are facing the Qibla. It uses true north for your location, not just magnetic north. And unlike most prayer apps, it does not need the phone held flat: it senses how you are holding it and stays steady and accurate anyway.

On your Home Screen, Lock Screen and wrist Home Screen widgets carry a live countdown, and you can mark a prayer straight from the widget. Lock Screen widgets and StandBy show the next prayer — times only, your record stays private. A Live Activity keeps the current prayer on the Lock Screen with the mark button on it. The Apple Watch app has today's prayers, one-tap marking and the Qibla, and holds two weeks of times for when your phone is not nearby; complications put the countdown on your watch face. On iPad, the app uses the room with a two-pane layout.

Our pledge No ads, ever. No account. No analytics. Nothing about you reaches us: your prayer record stays on your phone, and your approximate location is only used by your phone's own map service to name your city. If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report helps us fix it, and you can turn that off in Settings. If the app helps you, there is an optional tip jar in Settings.

Simple Prayer is available in English, Arabic and Turkish.
