Spades Scorekeeper: Bags & Nil

Most score apps are a number pad. You do the math in your head, then type a total. This one knows the game.

Enter who dealt, who bid what, and who took what. Spades, Oh Hell, Euchre, Pinochle, Bid Whist and Batak are each scored by their own rules — and by your table's rules.

HOUSE RULES ARE THE POINT

Your table plays to 300, not 500. You count bags every five, not ten. Nil is worth 50. Being set costs the bid, not ten times the bid. Set those once and every hand after is scored the way you actually play. Change a rule and the math changes with it — a game already in progress keeps the rules it started with, and the screen says which ones.

HAND BY HAND, LIKE PAPER

The sheet is a grid: one row per hand, one column per player, bid and tricks in every cell, running totals down the side. You can look back at hand four. You can see exactly where the bags came from.

GOT ONE WRONG? FIX IT.

Tap any hand, correct it, done. Every total after it recalculates — bag penalties included. Nothing is frozen just because you already saved.

ZERO IS A NUMBER

Bid zero. Take zero tricks. Both are ordinary results at a real table and both go straight in.

THE BAG CLOCK

Every overtrick is a point now and a hundred-point penalty later. The bag clock shows where you stand: bags on the board, your pace, which hand the next penalty lands on, and how many tricks your side has been taking. It is arithmetic from your last few hands, not advice.

DEALER, SEATS AND THE REST

The dealer rotates on its own and the screen says who. Seat order is the order at the table — it never re-sorts itself by score. Six games in one ledger, and a scorecard you can export as plain text.
