Hello. I'm Mark, and I made this game with my daughter Malu, who is eight. She designed the characters, named the worlds and decided what the shop should sell. I did the typing.

Fun Run is a running game for children. Tap to jump, hold to fly, and the friends you run past fall in behind you until there is a whole parade following you down the track.

THERE IS NO WAY TO LOSE

If you bump into something you trip over, your friends gather round, and off you go again. Nobody is told off. Nothing is taken away. If your child would rather have a challenge, Three Hearts can be switched on in Settings. It is off by default, and even that ends kindly.

SIX WORLDS

Jungle, City, Underwater, Star Road, Winter Wonderland and Dinosaur Land. Each world has its own colours, its own sky and its own music.

ELEVEN CHARACTERS

Run as a capybara, a penguin, a dinosaur, a watermelon, or one called Malu, among others.

A SHOP THAT COSTS NO MONEY

Hats, pets, sparkly trails, treats and party things, paid for with coins you earn by running. Coins cannot be bought. There is nothing to buy anywhere in this game, because there is nothing for sale.

WHAT IS NOT IN IT

No adverts. Not one, not ever. No in-app purchases, no subscription, no unlock, no "premium". No accounts, no sign-in, no chat, no user content. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party anything. No data collected — none at all.

The game never touches the network, so it works on a plane, in a car, or in a house with no wi-fi. Everything your child unlocks is saved on the device and goes nowhere else.

The Grown-Ups area — the privacy policy and the diagnostics — sits behind a maths gate a small child cannot pass.

Malu put it better than I could: you don't need to pay.
