In the order you walk them Works follow the real route through the building, from the west end of the second floor down to the first. You can also search by title, artist, or room number.

Can't tell which painting you're looking at? Photograph it. Point your camera at the work and go straight to its commentary. The matching runs on your iPhone; the photo is never uploaded or stored.

The galleries have almost no signal, so this works offline Download your language's audio pack in advance — on hotel Wi-Fi is ideal. Once you're inside, no connection is needed.

How the commentary is written Not a Wikipedia read-aloud. Each piece starts with what is actually in front of you — composition, detail, how people looked at pictures at the time — and only then fills in the background. Dates, attributions, and dimensions come from Wikidata and the museum's own material. Where scholars disagree, the script says so instead of picking a side. Legends are labelled as legends.
