Wondering where your child is—and how current the location on the map really is?
FamSinyal gives parents a clear view of the latest location reported by a paired child device. Instead of presenting an older point as if it were new, the app shows when the location was captured and its approximate accuracy. You can understand what the device most recently reported before deciding whether to call, message, or send a quick safety check.
LATEST REPORTED LOCATION
See your child’s latest reported location on the family map, together with the capture time and approximate accuracy. Review up to 30 days of child location history; older child location records are deleted automatically. Device reports can be interrupted, and precision varies with conditions.
SOS AND ONE-TAP CHECK-INS
If your child needs your attention, they can send an SOS with one tap. You receive a notification and the location reported with that SOS. When you simply want reassurance, send “Are you safe?” from the parent app. Your child can answer with one tap on their own device. FamSinyal does not contact emergency responders on your behalf.
DEVICE STATUS AT A GLANCE
Check the paired device’s battery level, connection status, and location-permission status. If the device has not connected for an extended period, FamSinyal can send an offline warning. These signals help you understand why a location may not have updated yet.
SAFE ZONES YOU CHOOSE
Mark a specific area such as home or school on the map. After you save that safe zone, FamSinyal can notify you when the paired child device reports entering or exiting the area you defined. Safe-zone alerts apply only to places you deliberately set up; no alert is created for an arbitrary place that was not saved as a zone.
ONE PLAN FOR THE FAMILY
Invite a second parent so both parents can access the child-safety tools. One subscription covers the family. Adult family members may also choose to share their own locations with one another. Adult sharing is off by default, must be voluntary and mutual, and can be stopped at any time. When an adult stops sharing, that shared adult location is deleted.
VISIBLE, CONSENT-AWARE SETUP
Pairing requires physical access to the child’s device and a one-time code. A persistent notice remains on the child device while location reporting is active, so the feature is visible rather than hidden. FamSinyal has no hidden mode and is not designed to monitor a partner, employee, or another adult without their knowledge.
WHAT FAMSINYAL DOES NOT ACCESS
FamSinyal does not read messages, call logs, or contacts. It does not access the microphone or camera, and it cannot find someone from a phone number. There is no family chat, driving analysis, or permanent location archive. The app focuses on transparent family location tools, SOS, safety checks, and the status of paired devices.
LOCATION LIMITS AND EMERGENCIES
Location freshness and accuracy depend on device permissions, operating-system behavior, battery level, GPS signal, surroundings, and internet connectivity. A location may therefore be delayed or less precise than expected. Always look at the capture time and approximate accuracy shown in the app.
FamSinyal is not an emergency service. In immediate danger, call local emergency services: 911 in the United States or Canada, 999 or 112 in the United Kingdom, or 000 in Australia. Elsewhere, use your local emergency number.
