Salat shows the jamaat times your masjid actually sets.

Most prayer apps calculate times from your location. Salat calculates nothing. Every time you see is the iqamah a masjid's own committee decided, taken from that masjid's published schedule and refreshed regularly. Where a masjid has not published its times, Salat says so plainly and offers to pass yours on, rather than filling the gap with an estimate that would send you to an empty hall.

EVERY MASJID NEAR YOU, SIDE BY SIDE Compare the current prayer across the masjids around you, nearest first, with distance and driving time. Useful when you are travelling, new to an area, or have missed the jamaat at your usual masjid and need the next one.

DIRECTIONS IN ONE TAP Send any masjid straight to Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. Salat remembers which you prefer and stops asking.

REMINDERS YOU CONTROL Set a style for each prayer, silent, vibration or sound, and how many minutes before the jamaat you want to know. Reminders only ever come from times a masjid published, so you are never called to a time nobody prays.

LEARN ALONG THE WAY Each prayer card turns over for its rak'ah breakdown and the sunnah of the day, written simply enough for a child learning to pray.

HOW THE TIMES STAY RIGHT Every masjid's schedule is read again each week from whatever that masjid publishes, so when a committee moves a time with the season, the app follows without waiting for anyone to notice. Before any schedule goes live it is checked against the position of the sun at that masjid's own coordinates. A time that could not be right for that place on that day is held back for a person to look at rather than shown to you. That check only ever catches times that are wrong: it never invents one, and it never decides an iqamah, because only a masjid can do that.

BUILT BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY If a time is wrong, or your masjid is missing, you can send the correct times from inside the app in a few taps: every prayer, adhan and iqamah, and Jumu'ah. Those corrections are what keep the directory honest, and they reach masjids no automated system can read.
