ColdScope helps you understand how cold it feels when wind is taken into account. Explore conditions worldwide by searching for a place, selecting a point on the map, opening a saved location, or optionally using your current location.

ColdScope uses weather data from Apple WeatherKit and calculates the wind chill index on your device from air temperature and sustained wind speed.

WIND CHILL CALCULATOR

Use the built-in manual calculator even without an internet connection. Enter air temperature and sustained wind speed to calculate wind chill using the same method used throughout ColdScope.

WIND CHILL EXPOSURE GUIDANCE

ColdScope includes source-based wind chill exposure categories using published guidance from Environment and Climate Change Canada. Exposure estimates are general guidance only and can vary by person and conditions.

HOME SCREEN WIDGETS

Keep wind chill, air temperature, wind, and forecast information visible from your Home Screen. Widgets can follow a saved location or the last place viewed in ColdScope.

YOUR SETTINGS

Choose Celsius or Fahrenheit, select your preferred wind-speed unit, change appearance, manage saved data, and review calculation methodology, weather-data attribution, privacy information, and official sources.

PRIVACY

ColdScope does not require an account. There are no ads, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Location access is optional and requested only when you choose to use your current location.
