InkCoach

Circle English with Apple Pencil, recognize it, understand it, rewrite it, and review it.

InkCoach is an English-learning notebook designed for iPad and Apple Pencil.

Write by hand or import PDF, PNG, and JPG files, annotate the original pages, and select words or sentences to study. English OCR runs locally on your device. Confirm the recognized text, then explore dictionary explanations, grammar checks, and natural-expression suggestions. AI feedback stays alongside your work and never automatically overwrites your handwriting.

Features: • Apple Pencil handwriting, highlighter, eraser, lasso, and undo/redo • PDF and image import, multipage swipe navigation, and annotations • English handwriting and image OCR with confirmation for low-confidence results • Select English text for learning feedback and rewriting practice • Save vocabulary and mistakes as review cards • Folders, search, trash, export, backup, and restore • Local-first storage with no InkCoach account required • Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese interfaces

Free local features and remote AI subscription: All local notes and local features are always free. Supported on-device AI is also free, subject to device/system eligibility and enabled learning actions. If unavailable, the app explains this. Only remote AI requires an auto-renewable subscription. Eligible new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, followed by USD 0.99 per month in the United States. Other storefronts use the local price shown by Apple. The subscription renews monthly unless canceled. Purchases require confirmation through Apple's purchase sheet. Restore Purchases and subscription management are available in the subscription screen. Canceling preserves access until the current entitlement expires; expiration never deletes or locks local content.

Remote processing and privacy: Choose remote AI in Settings and confirm the selected learning text before each request. Requests pass through our gateway in Tokyo, Japan, to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio in Beijing, China, for model inference. Original handwriting, entire notebooks, PDFs, and images are not uploaded for AI analysis; only the confirmed selected text and necessary request metadata are sent.
