DigitalGuide narrates Munich to your passengers while you drive.

MUNICH ONLY — FOR NOW This first release covers Munich and no other city. Every sight, story and recording in the app is Munich's. Anywhere else, the app will have nothing to tell you yet. More cities will follow.

IT RUNS ITSELF Put the phone down and drive. A story starts on its own as you come near a sight — about 150 metres ahead in a car, and sooner the faster you are going, so it ends while the place is still in view. There is nothing to tap while driving.

135 SIGHTS, SIX SPOKEN LANGUAGES Frauenkirche, Marienplatz, the Residenz, the English Garden, the Hofbräuhaus, the Olympiapark and 129 more. Every story is spoken by a real recorded voice — not read out by the phone — in English, German, Russian, French, Chinese and Armenian. Download a language once and the whole city works offline, with no signal needed on the road.

TWO LANGUAGE SETTINGS, SET SEPARATELY What your passenger hears and what you read are different choices. The narration can be any of the six languages above; the app's own screens are in English or German. A German driver can run the app in German while the back seat listens in Chinese.

YOU CHOOSE HOW MUCH A slider sets how many sights speak, from the ten most famous to all 135. Category chips switch off whatever your passenger has no interest in. Tap any pin on the map to hear that sight straight away, in a short, a long, or a two-minute version.

ON FOOT AS WELL Switch to walking and the whole guide retunes. Stories trigger much closer in — a church two streets away is no use to someone walking — and you get the longer versions, because on foot there is time to listen.

STUCK IN TRAFFIC Stop for a while near a quarter of the city and the guide offers a longer story about where you are sitting. It is always an offer; nothing long ever starts by itself.

TOURS Six ready-made tours — walking and driving — put the classics in the right order: the Old Town on foot, royal Munich by car, the English Garden, the museum quarter, Olympiapark and BMW, and a remembrance walk. Or build your own from the time you have: an hour or an afternoon, and the app plans the stops from where you stand. The map draws the route, numbers the stops and points you to the next one — and the guide still narrates whatever else you pass. Finished tours stay in your history.

THEN & NOW Eighty-two sights carry historical photographs — 220 in all, back to the 1850s. Open a sight, slide between then and now, and hear the story of what changed, narrated in all six languages.
