No account, no ads, no streaks, no advice. Scan a barcode, type the amount, put the phone away. Under the number a band fills from the left as the day goes on, and runs past the goal notch in red when you go over. That is the whole idea.

YOUR ENTRIES LIVE IN APPLE HEALTH There is no Bilanz server and nothing to sign up for. Meals are written to Apple Health as nutrition data, and so is your water. Whatever other apps write there shows up in your day as well, and if you delete Bilanz the entries stay where they are.

WHAT IS IN IT · A barcode scanner. Hold the camera to a package, the product sheet opens. Names and nutrition come from Open Food Facts, the open food database. · Text search for everything without a barcode, plus a row of what you logged recently: tap one and last time's amount is already filled in, hold it and the entry is made. · Your own foods, for what no database has. Four numbers are enough; the full table down to vitamins is there if you want it, barcode included. · A correction when the database disagrees with the package. It sticks for every future entry of that product. · Your own daily target and macro split, with presets from balanced to keto. · Active calories from Apple Health are added to the day's budget and shown on their own line, rather than quietly folded into the target. · Water with its own goal, the amounts you use most, and an undo right after the tap. · A month at a glance: one bar per day, the week's average next to it. · Widgets for the Home Screen and the Lock Screen, and a scan button in Control Center on iOS 18 and later. · Nutri-Score and the package photo on the product sheet. Both can be switched off.

WHAT IS NOT IN IT No streaks, no badges, no reminders, no coach congratulating you on a Tuesday. No subscription, no ads, no tracking.

PRIVACY There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app and no account to attach anything to. What leaves the phone are barcodes, search terms and the requests for package photos, all of them to Open Food Facts, to get names and nutrition values back. Everything else stays on the device and in Apple Health.

THE INTERFACE IS GERMAN Bilanz is written in German and has not been translated yet. The numbers read the same in any language, the labels do not.
