Point your phone at the person you're talking to and just talk. ChatTranslate listens to one side, speaks the answer out loud in the other language, and passes the conversation back and forth — the way an interpreter would.

Tell us from Settings and we will prioritise it.

HOW IT WORKS

• Tap the top half of the screen to listen in the other person's language, the bottom half for yours. Tap again to stop. • Simultaneous mode translates and speaks as you go — ideal for talks, tours and announcements. • Consecutive mode waits for a full sentence, then translates and reads it aloud — ideal for face-to-face back-and-forth. • The translation is spoken out loud, so the other person hears it instead of reading over your shoulder.

EVERYDAY SITUATIONS

• Travel — order food, ask for directions, read a menu, check into a hotel. • Work — bilingual meetings and site visits without booking an interpreter. • Study — follow a lecture in another language and read along. • Family — talk with relatives in the language they think in.

PRIVACY

• Nothing to create: no account, no email, no phone number. • Audio is processed on your device for supported languages. • You decide which language models to download, and you can delete them at any time.

Each language pack downloads once over Wi-Fi, then works with no connection.

STANDARD (OPTIONAL)

The free version covers everyday translation. Standard unlocks downloadable on-device models for higher accuracy and wider language coverage, and includes future models at no extra cost.

GOOD TO KNOW

• iPhone and iPad: on-device translation requires iOS 18 or later, with the language installed. • The language picker labels every pair, so you always know whether it runs on-device, needs a download, or requires a connection.

ChatTranslate Pro (optional subscription)

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. • Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. • Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
