Prau is a voice translator that works entirely on your iPhone. Recognition, translation and speech happen on the device — no internet, no accounts, no servers. Nothing you say is ever sent anywhere.

HOW IT WORKS Pick a language pair, tap the microphone and speak. Prau recognises your words, translates them and reads the translation aloud. The other person answers — and hears their reply in their own language. It works on a plane, in the mountains, abroad without a SIM card, and anywhere the connection is poor.

19 LANGUAGES, FULLY OFFLINE English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese. Language packs are downloaded once through the system dialog; after that translation never needs a network.

FACE-TO-FACE MODE Put the phone between you. Each side sees the screen the right way up, in its own language, and speaks in turn. Made for a hotel desk, a pharmacy, a taxi or a shop.

TRANSLATION INTO YOUR HEADPHONES Connect AirPods or any headphones. The translation into your language plays quietly in your ear, while the other person hears their language from the phone speaker. A private interpreter that fits in your pocket.

PHOTOS AND PDFs Point the camera at a menu, a sign, a document or a contract — or import a PDF. Text is recognised and translated on the device, laid out in readable paragraphs, and can be exported as a PDF.

HISTORY, SEARCH AND EXPORT — FREE, ALWAYS Every conversation is saved automatically. Search across all of them, export any conversation to TXT or PDF, and share it. This part of Prau never requires a subscription.

SUMMARY WRITTEN ON YOUR IPHONE On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, get a short summary of a whole conversation — the key points in a few lines, written on the device and never sent anywhere. Available on supported models and system languages.

Requires iOS 18 or later. Voice input is available for languages whose offline dictation model is installed by iOS; text and photo translation work for all 19.
