Tap anywhere on the screen to count—there's no need to look down. The digital mala turns one bead at a time with your taps, letting you know you've finished a round with a distinct haptic pulse and a gentle chime.

If you'd rather listen, record a mantra in your own voice and let the app count for you. Every time the chant loops, Mala advances a bead. It’s perfect for when you want to keep your hands resting or your eyes closed. You can even fine-tune the pace, the pause between chants, and the audio tone until it feels perfectly natural.

Any Mantra, Any Script Set up a new mantra just by typing its name. Use whichever script feels right to you—Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, or standard text. You can also customize your target, setting your beads per round to 108, 27, 21, or whatever fits your specific routine.

Your Own Voice Record a single chant, trim it down, and Mala will loop it for you. You can dial back background noise, adjust the bass and treble, or choose a warm, clear, or deep tone to match your voice. And don't worry—your audio recordings never leave your phone.

Home Screen Widgets Add a widget to count without even opening the app. You can seamlessly swipe between your different mantras directly from your home screen.

Keep Your Record Mala automatically logs the date, duration, and bead count of every session. Look back at your practice on the calendar to see exactly what you chanted each day. If you count using a physical mala away from your phone, you can easily add those sessions by hand to keep your streak going.

Gentle Reminders Choose the days and times you like to practice, and Mala will send you a prompt to begin. All notifications are generated locally by your device.
