Drawless Chess reworks familiar chess rules to replace routine draw endings with decisive results. Checkmate still wins, but the Drawless rules keep the fight going:

• A player with no legal move loses under the default stalemate rule. • Causing the same position a third time loses, unless every legal move repeats. • When checkmate becomes impossible, the selected dead-position rule awards the game. • A player left with only a king loses immediately. • After 50 moves without a pawn move or capture, material points decide the winner.

PLAY COMPLETELY OFFLINE Challenge the Drawless-tuned Fairy-Stockfish engine entirely on your iPhone or iPad, without an account, internet connection, or online matchmaking. Choose from eight illustrated opponents: seven fixed-strength levels from Learner through Grandmaster, plus Vesper, the Adaptive opponent that matches your current strength and evolves after each unassisted game.

MAKE THE GAME YOURS Start instantly with Quick Play, which chooses your side at random by default, or customize your side, opponent, rules, and clock. Choose untimed play, 3-, 5-, or 10-minute games, or a 15+10 control. An optional Escape variant changes how stalemate is scored.
