Homie is the app that runs your house — and it runs on your own server, not ours.

Homie connects to a home server you set up — like Home Assistant or Nextcloud; there's no central Homie server that every family shares. Your data stays on your own infrastructure, not a company's cloud.

WHAT HOMIE DOES

• Control your AC and water heater, with a full activity log of who did what.
• A shared shopping list the whole family edits live — scan barcodes, or import ingredients straight from a recipe photo or link using AI.
• A recipe archive: save, tag, and browse family recipes, imported from a photo, a link, or typed by hand.
• Live Activity step timers on your Lock Screen while you cook.
• Vote on Friday night dinner with a simple family poll.
• A feature-suggestions board so anyone in the house can propose ideas and vote them up.
• Weather for your home's location, right on the dashboard.
• A push notification when a new dinner poll goes up.
• Sign in with Apple, or a local username and password if your server offers one — no email collected either way.
• Face ID lock keeps the app private even if your phone isn't.
